67017 "Arrow" leads 2C67 0800 Cardiff Central - Paignton service on behalf on First Great Western past Hollicombe. As a result of unit shortages the DfT funds a second loco hauled set running to Paignton in the path of a former South West Trains service

Look what you could've had... 142009 on a Paignton - Exmouth service, in brilliant winter sunshine. Such is life

Having spent 30 minutes in Goodrington sidings, 67017 (with 67016 at the front) sits at Paignton whilst waiting to form the 2U20 1247 Paignton - Cardiff Central

The 1106 Paddington - Plymouth arrives into Exeter St Davids, it would be the last service to arrive from the direction of Taunton for a number of hours, owing to a body being found on the line near Stoke Cannon

67016 sits at Exeter St Davids waiting patiently at Exeter for a departure, that would never come

A closer view of 67016, the white stuff on the platform is not snow, but salt to melt the ice on the platform

43378, forming one of only 2 HST diagrams on Cross Country was turned around after leaving Exeter St Davids due to the fatality. It is seen on a bitterly cold day, having disgorged its passengers for onward bus travel to Taunton

67016 draws up to the signal before going into Riverside Yard, due to being cancelled as a result of the line being blocked
