The 1400 Plymouth - London Paddington service slows as it approaches Newton Abbot

Passing the 1400 Plymouth - London Paddington, the 1206 Paddington - Penzance accelerates out of Newton Abbot before tackling the steeply graded Devon banks

D1015 'Western Champion' and 40145 'East Lancashire Railway' were close on the heels on the preceding HST whilst working a 2 day tour from the North West to Penzance. Having received the green aspect D1015 leads 40145 as they accelerate towards Plymouth with 1Z40 0520 Crewe - Penzance.

A delayed Voyager was close behind, the vegetation at Aller is slowly growing and will be far more restrictive as the season progresses

67005 and 67006, both Royal class 67s, leads 1Z88 1350 Taunton - Plymouth, in connection with the yearly visit of the VSOE to the South West. The train would later visit Kingswear
